Little Traverse Lighthouse

Thanks Amelia (funny that I have the same nickname on postcrossing, and not just there) for this card!
Little Traverse (Harbor Point) Lighthouse was established in 1884. It is located at the tip of Harbor Point at the entrance to Harbor Springs, Michigan.

Washington

Cool, now thanks to Monika I have a card from Washington. USA is a big country and it would be nice to have a card (or not the only one) from every state. Let it be one of my postcrossing's decisions:) Not impossible, I think, since there are a lot of users from USA on postcrossing.com

Flushing Meadows

This card I've got from Linda, we had a trade. I like this card, because it's New York (and I wanted a card from New York, with any landmark) and because this card shows Flushing Meadows (and I'm a big tennis fan:)) One of the Grand Slams, US Open, is spent here).

Indianapolis

This nice card came for me from Vickie. Very nice nightview. It's a bit damaged, but it's our post's fault. I received damaged cards from time to time. Sometimes it's nothing bad and sometimes it spoils a card. I even think about asking people to send me cards in the envelopes. Many people do this, so why I can't? But, actually, I prefer written and stamped cards, so I'll do this ifonly our post become very unprofessional.

Seattle Qwest Field

It's a Seattle Qwest Field, a stadium where the NFL Seattle Seahawks play home games.
"The stadium opened July 20, 2002. This beautiful state-of-art stadium is designed with a 67 000 seating capacity and has a roof covering 70% of the seating area. Enjoy spectacular views of the snowcapped mountains, Puget Sound and the Seattle skyline".
Card received from Naomi. I'm always glad to receive cards with sports theme:)

Grateful Dead

And this card (from Laura) shows the band named Grateful Dead.
To be honest, I don't know anything about this band:( But I looked through Wiki and Youtube and found this:

Texas

This beautiful postcard with spring flowers came from Shelby. Very nice! I miss spring. You know, summer is not "my" season. I do not like hot weather, I do not like when air is standing, when the one thing you really want is go to the shower and spend there all day long. Or sit under the conditioner and don't stand up:)
Well, yes, fruits, berries, ice-cream - these are good things, but... No, I don't like summer. I prefer spring. Spring (all 3 months), autumn (basically October, whith yellow and red foliage) and winter (till New Year's holidays:)).

Wildelife in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania

Thank you, Ken!

Raccon, bear, deerm wild birds such as owl and pheasant, and many varieties of colorful wildflowers such as Mountain Laurel, Pennsylvania's state flower, are among the countless number of species of wild fauna and flora that can be seen and enjoyed in the Poconos of northeastern Pennsylvania.

St. Louis

These are cards from St.Louis (Missouri). Thank you, Chris!
The city has many nicknames, the most popular being "Gateway City", as it is seen as the Eastern/Western US dividing mark. St. Louis is also called "Gateway to the West" on behalf of the many people who migrated west through St. Louis via the Missouri River (first leg of the Oregon Trail) and other wagon trails.

Waterfire

This interesting card (from Andrea) is from "very pretty event... called Waterfire".
Description on a card: "The ninety-seven bonfires, blazing just above the surface of the Providence River, make up the artistic creation of Barnaby Evans' magnificent WaterFire display. The dazzling brilliance of the bonfires, accompanied by the enchanting blend of world and classical music, make this work of art one of the greatest symbols of Providence's ongoing renaissance".

YAY!

I was pleased of today's mail:) Well, I'm always pleased of a mail, but today I was especially pleased, because due to illness I didn't go for a walk and stay home. I have a sore throat and, actually, I'm feeling not very good now:( but I received a few very nice cards today and it's made me... well, almost happy:))
I'm very thankful to Heather for this one. My friends know, that I'm a big sports-fan:))) I'm addicted to figure skating, tennis and cycling. And football (soccer). And I know a lot about athletics and swimming. And... I like almost every kind of sport:))
I respect Lance Armstrong very much. He is a Man, a Hero, a True Athlet. I wanted to give you a link on my post (I made a post about Lance in my journal), but oh well, it's on Russian:)) So I'll just post here a link on Wiki. I think, people who don't know about Lance and his story, must know this.
