Did you know this?

My first card from the "Did you know?" series. I saw a lot of this cards in Canadian users' profiles, so I think it's pretty popular postcards. And a very good idea - to write something interesting about animals/places of your country right on the "face" of the postcard. Thanks, Rose!
You may not see so I'll write here: "A sea lion is any of several marine mammats of the family Otariidae. Sea lions are characterized by the presence of external ear pinnae or flaps, long front flippers, and the ability to walk on four flippers on land. Sea lions are often a popular attraction at zoos and aquariums, performing tricks such as throwing and catching balls on their noses and clapping. Sea lions of many species have seen a severe and rapid decrease in numbers in recent years. Many factors including overfishing of other species, shooting by fishermen and pollution have probably contributed to the decline"

"Mom, do we really have to leave the beach?"

This funny card came to me from United Kingdom, from Andy. It's so cute:) Cards with animals are the part of my wish-list:) Well, I wrote "wild animals", because if I'll write "and pets too" or "any animals", everybody will send me cats:) No, I love cats, but on postcards I prefer to see different animals:) But I will be not against nice cat-card. So send me cat-card only if you think it's unique and unusual, o.k. :)?

Little Big Cat and his Mom

I received this cute card from Balbina. She was very kind and sent me 2 cards - this one and one with city views (I'll post it later). Thank you very much, Balbina! Balbina has an official web-site, where you can find her pictures. Very nice pictures. Hope you enjoy it as much as I am.

A cow

Interesting cow, eh? The card came from Michelle.
I like art cards. Because every art card is always untypical. But I have no many art-cards, just this one and a card with a picture from Russia (I've posted it earlier). Hope to improve this situation soon;)

About tarsiers

Another interesting card from Asia. It's from Sherwin, from Philippines.

Do you know what's the animal in the middle of the card? Because you can see him very often - people like to make funny photos and videos with this animal. It's tarsier.

Tarsiers are small animals with enormous eyes; each eyeball is approximately 16 mm in diameter and is as large as their entire brain (!). Tarsiers also have very long hind limbs. In fact, their feet have extremely elongated tarsus bones, from which the animals get their name. The head and body range from 10 to 15 cm in length, but the hind limbs are about twice this long (including the feet), and they also have a slender tail from 20 to 25 cm long. Their fingers are also elongated, with the third finger being about the same length as the upper arm. Most of the digits have nails, but the second and third toes of the hind feet bear claws instead, which are used for grooming. Tarsiers have very soft, velvety fur, which is generally buff, beige, or ochre in color.

Chukotka

I received two card from this part of Russia on a days. The card above (shown Zhivonachalnaya Hole Trinity cathedral in Anadyr) is from Anastasia, and the card below (with Siberia animals, also from Anadyr) is from my friend Liuda. Thank you, girls!

Chukotka is the most northeasterly region of Russia and, since the sale of Alaska to the United States, has been the only part of Russia lying partially in the Western Hemisphere. It is bordered on the east by the Bering Sea, part of the Pacific Ocean, and to the north by the Chukchi Sea and the East Siberian Sea, which are part of the Arctic Ocean. Chukotka has an area of 737,700 km2 (284,800 sq mi) and a population of 53,824 according to the 2002 Census. The principal town and administrative center is Anadyr.

Lake El'gygytgyn, an important site for scientific research on climate change, is located in Chukotka, as is the village of Uelen, the closest substantial Russian settlement to the United States.

When every day is caturday!

Well, time to show you my cats-collection, more precisely - her Finnish part.
I made a big, huge mistake - I wrote in my profile, that I "love cats". So... So I began to receive only cat-cards:)) But well, I was glad. I can't resist - I love cats! :) But in one moment I understood that enough, I don't want more kittens. Now I want buildings, landscapes and famous places:)))
Anyway, my collection is not so big, but very... different:)
So, ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the Finnish cats!

(this cat with nature at the background:)) is from Tuovi)

This lovely one - from Emma. I like it, I collected a small calendars when I was a child (who didn't:)?) and still have one with this picture.

This cat (he is a hunter or just scared:)?) - from Juha

And this is a very interesting cat. It's not just a postcard with cat, it's a postcard in a shape of a cat! Very interesting and good idea! From Touvi (but another Tuovi).

And this one (from Maarit) reminds me my cat. Yeah, I had a cat and loved her very much, we have lived together about 16 years, but last year she dead:(( I'm still sad because of that:( And this cat looks similar to my, so I like this card a lot.

This one blue-eyed young cat - from Suvi.

This pretty funny one - from Seija (She has about 5000 (!!!!!) postcards, 'cos collects it during all her life).

This painted cat - from Airi.

And another cat on a graas - from Out

Well, another one hunter. Or he (she?) just enjoing peacefull and fresh air:)?

And the last one, A-Kitten-With-Flowers. From Tiluski.

Which one of my Finnish cats do you like the most;)?

^_^

Isn't he (or she:)) sweet? Awwwww... :))) I love cute little animal babies:)))
Do you wanna look at 6 day's giraffe? Click here!

I'll be the happiest person in the world, if I'll receive a card with a seal's baby or a little owl (they are too cute and funny:))

It's from Valerie (she is from Belgium). Thanks a lot!

Ocean's View

I received this gorgeos postcard from Maria. Maria loves ocean and lives in a  beautiful place - on the Azores islands (it's in Portugal).
I like this postcard not just because it's very-very nice, I also like the stamp on image.
Btw, the Azores have personal web-site www.azores.com/ (it's wise, people can know more about places in the world; I've never seen sites about our cities:(  ) And here ia another site with information and photos: www.mirapico.dk/ Very interesting.
I like portugese postcards, they are often full of  sun and ocean:)

Kangaroo

Oh, this is one of my most favourite postcards! I received it from Janet, mother of 5 wonderfull children. Janet, if you read it, thank you very much for this postcard! I remember I was sooo excited, when I opened my mail-box and saw it! It made my day! And I like the stamp. Good idea: you don't need to buy the stamp, it's already there.
I think, all postcards sent by Janet are lovely. Take a look!
Yeah, that was a little advertising:)))
I like postcards with animals, but I have no many. Well, as I said in my profile (did you read my profile:)?), I have a lot of cats:) Yes, I adore xats, but it would be nice to receive other kinds of animals too:)) All animals are great:)
And a short video. Maybe it's a bit weird, but... Every time I watch this, I laugh till pain in my belly:)))
Click to watch
Kangaroos are not just cute, they are very funny:))
