And this is a card from Elena. Gee, I realized it's been a while since I received my last Spanish card! I don't collect map-cards, but have no anything against them. Besides it's very useful, it helps you to remind geography:)

Granada

Great card from Angela. Love such views!
The city of Granada is placed at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, at the confluence of three rivers, Beiro, Darro and Genil, at an elevation of 738 metres above sea level yet only one hour from the Mediterrean coast, the Costa Tropical.
Granada is also well-known within Spain due to the prestigious University of Granada and, nowadays, vibrant night-life. In fact, it is said that it is one of the three best cities for college students (the other two are Salamanca and Santiago de Compostela).

The pomegranate (in Spanish, granada) is the heraldic device of Granada.

This card - from Andoni. The card shows night view of Vitoria-Gasteiz, the capital of the Basque Country.

- The Basque Country (autonomous community) (Comunidad Autonoma Vasca, Euskadi, País Vasco or Vascongadas), an autonomous community of Spain, composed with Alava, Biscay and Gipuzkoa.
- The Basque Country (greater region) (Euskal Herria, País Vasco, Pays Basque), the approximate cultural area of Basque culture and language. It is made up of the Spanish provinces of Alava, Biscay and Gipuzkoa, the Autonomous Community of Navarre, and the French areas (not recognized as administrative regions) of Lower Navarre, Labourd and Soule.

I love all my cards. But I have favourites, of caurse:) This is one of them. I just love it! It's Casa Batlló, a building restored by Antoni Gaudí, a very famous Spanish architector. Info from the official site:

Hod did I get this beautiful card? Well, I received it from Jenny. We met @ postcrossing.com. Over a year ago I was bored, I didn't go to the University or at work, so I found some nice people from other nice countries to talk about everything and to improve my English (but I didn't do it, as you can see:)). At first that was cool and interesting, but than my life changed and I had no time to write letters (to translate letters into English:)) or talk by msn. So I didn't write to Jenny for a long time. She is the nisest person, so I'm feeling guilty:( I promised myself to sit and to write in a first free weekend I have.
Jenny, if you read this, forgive me, please! It's not because I forgot about you, no! It's just... Life is so unexpected:)
